Purpose and overall relevance for the organization: Supporting the Head of Indirect Tax in the preparation and implementation of indirect tax strategies globally. Responsibilities: • Together with your colleagues, global center of expertise for indirect taxation (VAT/GST, etc.), withholding taxes and all related issues • Ensuring in collaboration with the regional tax leads that the global strategy is executed properly at market level (governance role) • Business partnering and point of contact for Global Functions, GBS Systems and Control & Analytics team and the regional tax leads • Advising and supporting operating units regarding the structuring and tax optimization of intra-company supply and service relationships for indirect taxes • Working closely with the tax technology teams to ensure compliant VAT systems and processes • Supporting the analysis and optimization of tax processes within the tax department, especially project-specific with regard to the use of IT support solutions • Participation and support in tax audits Knowledge, skills and abilities: • Good indirect tax knowledge, and general knowledge of the most important international tax regulations • Affinity to tax technology and preferably some basic SAP knowledge • High customer focus to ensure they understand tax requirements and increase willingness to comply with them. • Maneuverability in a constantly changing environment according to new processes in the company as well as constantly changing tax law • Ability to work cross-functionally with different departments and subsidiaries and develop an understanding of external business drivers • Experience in project management Required education and experience / Minimum requirement: • Completed university and technical college education / MBA • In-depth knowledge of indirect taxation • Basic knowledge of corporate tax and international tax law • At least 2-4 years of professional experience in the field of indirect tax in an international corporation or a Big4 auditing company • A healthy amount of initiative and commitment • Good English language skills and familiarity with computer-aided work and communication tools |
